Task Force on Outcome-based Approaches in Student Learning (OBATF)

Terms of Reference

1. To work with and facilitate institutions in weaving “outcomes” into the design and implementation of the “3+3+4” curricula and assist in monitoring the progress;
   
   
2. To render assistance to and encourage teaching staff to adopt outcome-based approaches;
   
   
3. To foster collaboration amongst UGC-funded institutions, and build up local expertise on “outcomes” by sharing information, experience and good practices;
   
   
4. To identify and disseminate international best practices and how they are to be adopted in the Hong Kong context;
   
   
5. To establish dialogue with relevant professional bodies;
   
   
6. To advise the UGC and serve as a contact point between the Committee and institutions on this subject; and
   
   
7. To conduct other work related to “outcomes” as appropriate.
